Together with Our Local Communities
The NIPPN Group will continue to carry out various social contribution activities based on the theme of “contribution to society through food and health,” one of our materiality items (key issues).
Support for Eradicating Hunger and Poverty
Support for UNICEF
NIPPN has been supporting children around the world through UNICEF since 1996, thus contributing to sound development of children worldwide. Our employees can participate in a monthly payroll giving program and we provide continuous support, including sponsorship of events.
Sponsorship of UNICEF Love Walk organized by the Japan Committee for UNICEF
This is an event to encourage people to promote health by walking for fun while contributing to the health of children in developing countries through UNICEF. The participation fees are used for UNICEF activities. NIPPN has been providing Oh’my pasta every year for in-kind sponsorship.
Support for the Japan Association for the World Food Programme
We have been supporting the activities of the Japan Association for the World Food Programme (Official Support Window for the United Nations World Food Programme, “UN WFP”) since its establishment in 2005.
We sell our products bearing the Red Cup Campaign mark, and have donated a portion of the proceeds from the products.
Since 2023, our employees and their families have been participating in WFP’s Walk the World event in Yokohama, Osaka, and Nagoya.
The donations and a part of the walking event participation fees are being utilized for the UN WFP’s "School Meals” program.
Emergency Relief for Disaster Victims
We make emergency relief donations through the Japan Association for the World Food Programme. Donations were made for Ukraine in 2021, the Türkiye–Syria earthquake recovery efforts in 2022, Gaza/Palestine in 2023, and for emergency food assistance in 2024 and 2025.
In addition, through the Japanese Red Cross Society, we made an emergency relief donation to support victims of the Noto Peninsula earthquake in 2024.
Support by Donating Our Products
We have been donating processed and frozen foods to facilities and organizations in need, as well as disaster-affected areas, through Bunkyo Ward Kodomo Takushoku, certified NPO Second Harvest Japan, and local governments and food banks.
These activities also contribute to reducing food loss by ensuring that our products are put to effective use.
Support for People with Disabilities
・We have co-sponsored the “Bancho SJE Marche,” an event held in Chiyoda Ward where NIPPN’s head office is located, and we participate as volunteers. The event provides work experience opportunities for individuals with intellectual disabilities, including Down syndrome.
・We have supported the operation of lectures and the “Challenged Cup” contests organized by NGBC (New Generation Bakery Club), an NPO located in the Yokohama area, with the aim of supporting the bakery and confectionery businesses run by people with disabilities. We also provide product sponsorship.
・We have co-sponsored bread and cooking classes for people with visual impairments organized by “KAME no Kai,” a volunteer group in Yokohama City.
Support for Culture, Arts, and Sports
Support for “Luna Flora,” Organized by Our Group Company Junko Flora School Co., Ltd.
We have been supporting the development of cultural activities since 1970, when we partnered with Junko Flora School Co., Ltd. (JFS), which operates clay flower making classes and sells their artworks.
The artworks were originally made from real bread, but in order to achieve stable and beautifully finished pieces, NIPPN, as a flour milling company, jointly researched and improved the materials with JFS. This collaboration led to the creation of “Pando,” a wheat flour clay, which marked the beginning of our business partnership.
The origin of clay flowers, known as “Pan no Hana,” dates back to the 1960s, when JFS founder Junko Hitomi was inspired by toy flowers made by Indigenous peoples in Latin America who kneaded leftover bread to shape them. This idea led her to create sculptural flowers made from wheat flour clay.
The production of wheat flour clay was later transferred to a contract manufacturer. In the 2000s, however, we acquired a stake in JFS and in JACS Inc., the company that sells wheat flour clay, and have since supported them as part of the NIPPN Group’s cultural initiatives.
Sponsorship for the Student Rugby Tournaments
We strongly resonate with the spirit of rugby, symbolized by “One for All, All for One” and the “NO SIDE SPIRIT,” and we are committed to contributing to the further development of amateur sports. Since 1981, we have co-sponsored the Japan National University Rugby Championship organized by the Japan Rugby Football Union, as well as the Kanto University Tournament, the Kanto University League, and the Kansai University Rugby League. Through these activities, we continue to support the passionate competition of university players who train tirelessly.
Enhancing Engagement in Communities
Comprehensive Partnership Agreements with Asahikawa City and Shibetsu City
With the launch of our product made from flaxseed grown in Hokkaido, we concluded a comprehensive partnership agreement with Shibetsu City, the flaxseed producing area, and Asahikawa City, the gateway to northern Hokkaido, and have thereunder provided support to promote health and revitalize local economies.
Collaboration Agreement with Yamaguchi Prefecture and JA Yamaguchiken
Under a tripartite cooperation framework based on this agreement, three parties are working together: Yamaguchi Prefecture, which promotes local production for local consumption; JA Yamaguchiken, which pursues the expansion of agricultural production; and our company, which seeks to maintain and expand a stable supply system for wheat produced in Yamaguchi Prefecture. Together, we are jointly promoting initiatives in the three fields of production promotion, demand expansion, and human resource development in the agricultural sector.
Partnership Agreement with Oyama City to Donate Food
We have signed a partnership agreement regarding food donations with Oyama City, where NIPPN SPORTS Co., Ltd. is located, to promote activities aimed at supporting children through donating our products.
Basic Agreement with Chiyoda Ward Concerning the Provision of Services Such as Daily Life Support for the Elderly
We participate as a partner company in the “Chiyoda Active Senior Academy,” which was launched by Chiyoda Ward, where NIPPN’s headquarters is located, as part of the ward’s project to develop a daily life support system. Through this initiative, we will offer various cooking classes and “Pan no Hana” classes using wheat flour clay.
In addition, together with Chiyoda Ward, we co‑hosted the NIPPN Wellness Seminar in January 2025 and a pizza cooking class in August 2025 based on the theme “the elderly’s health based on a nutritionally managed diet”.

Initiatives to Strengthen Japan–Türkiye Relations
NIPPN has been involved in building friendly relations between Türkiye and Japan through various activities since joining the Japan-Türkiye Society in 1997.
Since 1998, we have co‑sponsored Turkish cooking classes, and since 2016, we have been importing Turkish pasta. In July 2023, we co‑hosted the 68th Turkish Cooking Class together with the Japan-Türkiye Society and donated all participation fees, through the Society, to the Embassy of the Republic of Türkiye in Japan to support recovery efforts following the earthquakes in southern Türkiye.
Activities in the Local Community where Our Offices are Located
We cooperate in the "Chiyoda-ku Collective Cleanup Day" held twice a year by Chiyoda Ward, where our head office is located, and our employees participate in the "Sanno Festival" held every two years as mikoshi (portable shrine) carriers. By participating in local events at our Group's business sites other than the head office, we not only contribute to the local community, but also actively communicate with local residents.
Sanno Festival and Chiyoda-ku Collective Cleanup Day
Our Chiba Mills, and our partner companies NIPPN LOGIS Co., Ltd. and KUSUHARA Transport Co., Ltd. supported the importance of the Chiba Environmental Restoration Promotion Committee, which promotes the preservation and restoration of nature in Chiba with the participation of all Chiba residents, and aims to make Chiba the "Best Environmental Prefecture in Japan." So they made a donation to the Chiba Environment Restoration Fund and received a certificate of appreciation from the committee.
